In 1977 Paul Willis wrote a book called 'Learning to Labour: How Working Class Kids Get Working Class Jobs'. 30+ years later, and especially through Academy schools such as the one above whose function is to funnel kids into strict disciplined vocational studies, we can see that nothing has changed much very much for working class children.
